Kilkax

He'll metaphorically melt your face before literally melting your face

Description:
Appearance
  • Age: 26
  • Height: 6’6
  • Weight: 275 lbs
  • Deep blue scales
  • Gold eyes
  • Svelte body type, as far as Dragonborn go
  • Missing a portion of his left ear, which he sold to an uneducated sap with a dragonmark who was trying to craft a vial of “Blue Dragon’s Blood”. The going rate for a vial of the stuff is 750 gold. The plan was to ask 700 gold (jacked up prices for organic material), then bribe buyer’s men with a severely smaller amount to reclaim the body part so it could be reattached. The buyer’s men never came back. – Kilkax now compensates for the missing ear by adorning it with silver rings
Personality
  • Arrogant and boisterous
  • Cunning, or at least he likes to think so
  • Brimming with confidence, a trait needed for any deceiver. It’s also a trait he faked until he started to believe his own bullshit
  • Sarcastic
  • Miserly. Cannot resist making some extra coin even if it means putting himself in harm’s way at times
  • Will go out of his way to antagonize someone if he feels he could get a laugh out of it
  • Has the mentality that he will play his music for an audience every night
Bio:
  • Stolen as an egg from Morgrave University in Sharn by Bernadette Hawklight (human), which she intended to fetch a high price for, until he hatched unexpectedly
  • Raised by Bernadette in secret, during which was taught how to play the viol, something uncommon for his race. He practiced ad nauseam, as there wasn’t much else to do due to his outward appearance compounded by war in Sharn. He was unable to leave his home
  • Bernadette, meanwhile, resorted to becoming an con and grifter during times of desperation. She then taught some of her tricks to Kilkax should he ever need them.
  • When caught while swindling someone of the Kundarak bank of Sharn, a notable bounty was put on Bernadette’s head
  • When Bernadette learned of the bounty, she unceremoniously threw Kilkax (now age 23) out of her home, telling him she doesn’t want to see her like this. Not actually knowing anything about her captors, Kilkax hopes his path will cross Bernadette’s in the future
  • Now equal parts a wandering bard and con man, Kilkax seeks to make a name for himself. But he desires no political power. He dreams of being a fable that has books written about him and songs sung about him (also the songs are written by him). And then hundreds of years from now he wants episodes of his life to be played out weekly at half past nine by some great heroic actor of the age
